Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, professional, and motivated Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have superior customer service skills, excellent communication skills, and be able to stay motivated and productive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Satisfaction: Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote yourself to guaranteeing satisfaction to customers.
  • Needs Assessment: Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.
  • Vehicle Demonstrations: Demonstrate new and used vehicles (includes test drives).
  • Vehicle Delivery: Deliver new and used vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Sales Meetings: Attend sales meetings to stay informed and aligned with dealership goals.
  • Owner Follow-up: Maintain an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business and contribute to customer satisfaction.
  • Product Knowledge: Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Performance Goals: Establish personal income goals consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Reporting: Report to the General Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.
  • Performance Review: Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product.
Qualifications
  • Factory Training: Take all factory tests and become a certified salesperson.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail auto sales.
  • Service Department Introduction: Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of the dealership's service operations.
  • Performance Checklist: Carry out sales, customer service, and job performance as indicated in the Sales Consultant Performance Checklist.
  • Driving Requirements: Must be legally and technically able to safely operate company and customer-owned vehicles.
  • Insurance: Must be insurable by Company insurance company.
  • Safety Policies: Must follow Company safety policies and practices and immediately report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
  • Education: High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
  • Sales Quota: Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.
