Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Womack Machine Supply. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer inquiries, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate product information, including pricing, availability, and lead times to customers
  • Route non-standard or technically complex customer inquiries to the appropriate customer service representative for resolution
  • Create quotes and sales orders in our primary business system software
  • Utilize supplier internet portals to obtain current product information
  • Follow up with customers to provide accurate delivery dates and updated order status
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate management or technical level
  • Maintain customer information, including contacts and order preferences

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years of customer service experience
  • Customer service experience in industrial distribution or a technical field is preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic PC skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to effectively utilize internet resources to obtain information

Work Environment

The work is sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting or standing to perform the work. There may be some infrequent movement from area to area to transport items weighing no more than 15 pounds.
