Maintenance Operations Manager

Emerge is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations at a client company in Brunswick, GA. The ideal candidate will ensure the proper functioning of plant equipment, address customer service needs, manage maintenance staff, and uphold safety and security procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the repair and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and buildings to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement safety and security measures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide timely resolution to maintenance-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and provide feedback to maintenance personnel to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Manage paperwork and communicate effectively with plant employees and corporate offices.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of welding practices and proficiency in mechanical skills, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Familiarity with painting various surfaces (walls, tankers, etc.).

Problem Solving:

  • Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Administrative:

  • Competent in managing paperwork and facilitating communication across teams.

Customer Service:

  • Ability to manage difficult situations with customers professionally.
  • Ability to solicit and apply feedback to improve services.

Management:

  • Responsible for subordinate activities and performance feedback.
  • Regularly solicit feedback from both internal and external customers.
  • Strives to continuously improve supervisory and leadership skills.

Professionalism:

  • Reacts calmly under pressure.
  • Treats others with respect regardless of status or position.

Safety and Security:

  • Observes and enforces safety and security procedures.
  • Reports unsafe conditions as needed.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation, and maintenance instructions.
  • Effective speaking and presentation skills in English.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is preferred but not required.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

The job will involve physical activity, including lifting, standing, and handling machinery and tools.

Work Environment:

The work environment will involve exposure to mechanical equipment, welding activities, and other industrial tasks. Safety procedures will need to be strictly adhered to.
