Job Summary

Western Youth Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Access Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that families in Orange County have access to the care they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Intake Coordination: Provide intake coordination and triage for families seeking mental health services in Orange County through the One Door Any Door model.
  • Client Assessment: Gather information through whole-person assessment and screening measures to identify appropriate services to meet client/family needs.
  • Service Linkage: Collaboratively work with families to identify and access services that best meet their needs through supportive dialogue and psychoeducation.
  • Resource Navigation: Maintain awareness of various agency and external community resources and associated eligibility requirements.
  • Data Management: Log all necessary data and client information in Excel and electronic health records.
  • Referral and Linkage: Guide families through the referral and linkage process to ensure continuity of care.
  • Barrier Navigation: Help families navigate and address barriers to accessing care.
  • Collaboration: Closely coordinate with internal agency programs and external collaborative partners to ensure seamless access to mental health services.
  • Community Outreach: Promote access coordination services through various avenues such as events, outreach, and collaborative meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience working in mental health, preferably in a similar role.
