Job Summary:

As a Clinical Operations Manager at Kaiser Permanente, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the unit(s), ensuring the highest quality of care is provided and is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. This role involves managing the units' clinical operations, including practice standards, staffing, payroll, budgets, fiscal management, and quality improvement.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve staff development and patient care.
  • Supervise a single unit (8 to 24 hours) of approximately employees, ensuring the best level of patient care while identifying savings opportunities.
  • Monitor the allocation and utilization of personnel based on continual changes in patient population/needs.
  • Supervise the daily unit operations, including human resources management, department and employee safety programs, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers outside of the unit to achieve optimal patient care across the continuum.

Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion or other related leadership experience.
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing. High school diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED) required.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ACLS certification strongly preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
