Job Overview

Position Summary

The Early Childhood Educator plays a crucial role in implementing educational standards and objectives within the classroom environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide support to children and assistant educators.
  • Plan and execute engaging learning experiences for young children in alignment with established educational standards.
  • Conduct regular assessments and document children's developmental milestones and classroom observations.
  • Create and maintain weekly educational plans tailored to the needs of the children.
  • Engage with families to build strong relationships and share insights regarding each child's learning journey and well-being.
  • Maintain open communication with parents through written updates and reports.
  • Coordinate meetings with parents to discuss children's progress and individual development strategies.
  • Prepare daily reports for parents and necessary documentation for children requiring special support.
  • Oversee the activities of assistant educators, demonstrating best practices in early childhood education.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant educational standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and secure records to protect the privacy of families.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide assistance to leadership in managing classroom activities as needed.
  • Uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards within the classroom.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Health certification and background check are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect with children and collaborate with staff and families.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in managing multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in motivating and leading a team.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Certification in Child CPR/First Aid is required.
