RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CAFÉ MANAGER:
Coordinate meal service activities at assigned congregate meal site. Maintain required food service procedures to insure proper meal sanitation standards according to procedures set forth by MSDS– clean and sanitize equipment used in meal service; obtain and record food temperatures upon arrival at site and before serving; properly hold food to maintain safe food temperatures and properly handle food to insure sanitation. Implement advance meal reservation system and order meals and supplies accordingly no later than 12:45 pm. Check meal delivery to insure that all supplies and food ordered are received. Follow daily menu to insure proper portion control. Coordinate recruitment, training, schedule and tasks of site volunteers. Insure that procedures for collection, counting and safeguarding client donations are maintained. Deposit donations on a daily basis. Prepare weekly meal report, project income form to be submitted the last day of the week. Calculate monthly client attendance and record on MIS at month-end. Oversee packaging and volunteer delivery of home-delivered meals as applicable. Initiate referrals to supervisor on behalf of program clients in need of additional services. Guard confidentiality of all participants and records. Attend training and meetings as required. Promote warm, relaxed, social atmosphere at meal site by establishing good rapport with clients and volunteers. RequirementsREQUIREMENTS OF THE CAFÉ MANAGER:
High School diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to work with older adults, volunteers and food.EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
