Job Description

Human Resources Generalist

At Middlesex Water Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR-related tasks, including recruitment, workers' compensation reporting, and administration of HR policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and hire top talent for various positions within the organization.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for employees.
  • Administer performance reviews and ensure that employees are meeting their performance goals.
  • Update employee records in the HRIS system and maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Ensure that all HR policies and procedures are followed and communicated to employees.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or HR certification and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or Recruiter role.
  • Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or Generalist.
  • Hands-on experience with HR Information Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Solid understanding of HR laws and payroll processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and team management skills.
