Job Title: Production Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Glanbia plc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, production, packaging, and shipment of blended materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation, blending, inspection, and packaging of materials to meet customer specifications and company standards.
  • Foster a behavior-based safety culture aiming for a zero-risk workplace.
  • Implement Continuous Improvement process and principles to create a zero-loss environment and minimize product loss.
  • Conduct daily quality inspections and ensure proper document, label, and packaging controls.
  • Provide direction and supervision to manufacturing team, including assigning team to process orders and monitoring labor hours.
  • Coordinate effective onboarding and training for new team members, and maintain programs designed to motivate employees.
  • Monitor employee attendance, conduct annual reviews, and identify the best people for the job.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required, with a college degree in a technical discipline highly preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing supervisory experience and experience as a Sanitation Supervisor are advantageous.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be focused on achieving team goals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends when needed.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, along with a strong mechanical aptitude.
