About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Kyyba Inc. as a Construction and Commissioning Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating electrical building system startups and commissioning activities, providing subject matter expert assistance in reviewing product and equipment submittals, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Commissioning: Facilitate electrical building system startups and commissioning activities to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Product and Equipment Review: Provide subject matter expert assistance in reviewing product and equipment submittals, shop drawings, engineering design drawings, and specifications.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes, including OSHA requirements and industry standards.
  • Project Coordination: Work with building construction contractors and equipment vendors to coordinate equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover to end users.
  • Inspections and Observations: Conduct inspections and observations of electrical building systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Project Administration: Support construction administration activities related to schedule coordination, quality confirmations, weekly coordination meetings, and planned utility outages.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare field engineering status reports of work progress and schedule to Project Managers and provide input and feedback to improve project technical specifications and standards.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 5-10 years of professional experience with 2+ years in construction management.
  • Design Criteria Development: Experience in design criteria development for electrical systems and industrial construction.
  • Automotive Experience: Automotive experience with engine, transmission, or vehicle facilities or similar industrial manufacturer.
  • Electrical Design Field: 5+ years in electrical design field.
  • Soft Skills: Good organizational skills, communication skills, schedule management skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
Desired Qualifications
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
