Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees and implements recruitment strategies for graduate students within SET.
- Represents SET at various recruitment events, including college fairs, university visits, and professional conferences.
- Collaborates with potential partners to develop recruitment initiatives that strengthen relationships and enhance the university's brand.
- Maintains a comprehensive database of industry contacts to facilitate ongoing engagement.
- Coordinates campus visits and information sessions for prospective students in partnership with SET Graduate Program Directors.
- Promotes combined degree options to current undergraduate students interested in pursuing graduate studies.
- Utilizes the online application system to monitor inquiries, applications, and enrollment statistics.
- Assists in evaluating applications for admission, applying analytical skills to assess qualifications.
- Stays informed about campus resources available to graduate students.
- Conducts informational interviews with prospective students and their families, providing clarity on admission criteria and academic offerings.
- Engages in ongoing assessment of recruitment program effectiveness and progress towards objectives.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; preference for candidates with a STEM background.
- 3-5 years of experience in college admissions and recruitment, with a focus on graduate students; 5-7 years preferred.
- Experience collaborating with key stakeholders in the admissions process, including parents and community organizations.
- Active involvement in professional organizations related to college admissions and higher education.
- Must pass a background check and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Availability to work extended hours or weekends during peak recruitment periods.
- Ability to present effectively in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Demonstrated initiative and organizational skills to promote SET effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with virtual meeting platforms; experience with CRM systems preferred.
- Understanding of St. Mary's commitment to educational excellence and diversity.
- Ability to build productive relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with occasional movement across campus.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and communicate with others.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
