Job Title: Admissions Coordinator

Cedar Hills Behavioral Hospital is seeking a skilled Admissions Coordinator to facilitate the admission process for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring efficient and compassionate service.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance, and clinical information to ensure accurate records.
  • Provide clear explanations of hospital policies, services, and treatment options to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Confirm patient insurance coverage and benefits, and obtain necessary authorizations for treatment.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Support patients' rights and dignity, addressing patient concerns and resolving issues.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare admissions, customer service, or related field.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment services.
