Location: Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $260,000 to $390,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Work Environment: Hybrid 2 days onsite / 3 days WFH

Term: Permanent / Fulltime

Requirements:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join our team at The Los Angeles County Bar Association - LACBA. As a key member of our Labor and Employment practice group, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients in employment-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal counsel to clients on employment law matters, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Representing clients in court and before administrative agencies, including the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
  • Conducting labor due diligence on mergers and acquisitions, and advising clients on labor-related aspects of business transactions.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to prevent and respond to employment-related disputes.
  • Collaborating with other attorneys and staff to achieve business objectives and provide exceptional client service.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of experience in employment law, preferably with an AmLaw 100 law firm.
  • Excellent academic credentials, including a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other productivity software.
