Job Summary

At Silfab Solar, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities of our manufacturing environment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the day-to-day maintenance activities of our maintenance team.
  • Identify, modify, adjust, and repair mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts and equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings or diagrams, including blueprints, schematics, and mechanical renditions.
  • Utilize a variety of power tools, hand tools, gauging and measuring equipment safely and correctly.
  • Develop and implement systematic preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve efficiencies.
  • Investigate equipment failures and unexpected breakdowns, and provide corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
  • Monitor parts requests to ensure adequate inventory and cost efficiencies are being met according to departmental budget.
  • Lead maintenance-related continuous improvement tasks and report back to management with status updates.
  • Facilitate the selection of appropriate resources (contractors, suppliers, etc.) to minimize costs and ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, mechanical, and robotics systems.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and ladder/function block logic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general math skills, including fractions and decimals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff Twin Cat) and electric circuitry, preferred.
  • Detailed-oriented individual capable of time and project management, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical technology, mechatronics, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years or more experience in a maintenance supervisory position, with experience in highly automated manufacturing environments preferred.
