About the Job

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at LaborMax Staffing. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities of our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance: Identify, modify, adjust, and repair mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Technical Expertise: Read and interpret technical drawings or diagrams, including blueprints, schematics, and mechanical renditions, to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Tool Management: Utilize a variety of power tools, hand tools, gauging and measuring equipment safely and correctly to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Reliability Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and increase efficiency in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Purchasing and Inventory: Participate in purchasing maintenance materials and outside technical services in accordance with established company protocol and procedures.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Assist in the establishment and implementation of systematic preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment failures and unexpected breakdowns.
  • Investigation and Resolution: Investigate equipment failures and unexpected breakdowns, provide corrective actions to improve reliability and performance, and report back to management with status updates.
  • Resource Management: Facilitate the selection of appropriate resources (contractors, suppliers, etc.) to minimize costs and ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure, enforce, and adhere to all legislative requirements, minimize the risk of accidents and pollution, and promote a safe working environment.
  • Team Leadership: Constantly enhance the motivation and team-spirit of all operation staff, and lead maintenance-related CI (continuous improvement) tasks.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical technology, mechatronics, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 5 or more years of maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in highly automated manufacturing environments and working with ABB robots preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, mechanical, and robotics systems; ability to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and ladder/function block logic; proficiency in Microsoft Office and general math skills, including fractions and decimals.
