We are seeking a dedicated Residential Assistant to join our team at the St. Lucy's Emergency Homeless Shelter in Jersey City, NJ.

As a Residential Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support and guidance to residents in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Monitoring resident activity and ensuring compliance with program policies and safety protocols
  • Supervising and securing building areas, responding promptly to crisis situations
  • Completing program documentation, including logs, statistics, and incident reports

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with 1-2 years of related experience preferred
  • OR 3 years of experience working with the homeless population in lieu of a High School Diploma or equivalent
