  • Consistent, in-person attendance is essential for this role.

Required Education and Certifications:

  • Certification as a Tourism Ambassador or willingness to obtain this certification, which is provided and funded by the employer, requiring reading and writing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive public relations through friendly and accurate communication with park visitors.
  • Collect fees and distribute tickets and wristbands to guests.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and maintain the cash drawer throughout each shift.
  • Calculate total payments received during shifts and reconcile with sales figures.
  • Complete daily reports and documentation accurately.
  • Ensure a sufficient supply of tickets and wristbands at the start of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide discounts to eligible guests, such as military personnel and Park Board staff.
  • Conduct park inspections to monitor safety and adherence to rules.
  • Address visitor concerns when feasible and escalate issues to the on-duty manager as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and assist in various tasks to ensure smooth park operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

Availability to work all assigned shifts is required, adapting to operational needs and weather conditions. Shifts may vary and include weekends, holidays, and special events, typically lasting between 8 to 12 hours.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings for the duration of the shift.
