Host - Providing Exceptional Guest Experiences

We strive to deliver a warm and inviting atmosphere for all our guests, and we need your help to achieve this goal. As a host on our team, you will utilize your excellent interpersonal skills to assist servers in creating a positive impression of our restaurant's hospitality, service, and high standards. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests upon arrival, thanking them upon leaving, and maintaining professional and hospitable communication throughout their experience. You will also be responsible for monitoring the flow of the restaurant, managing seating, reservations, and wait lists, and setting the tone for a great experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional guest experiences through teamwork, hospitality, proactive communication, and helping outside your role as needed.
- Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a smile, eye contact, and genuine hospitality.
- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests as appropriate.
- Tend to special guest needs and requests with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
- Observe guests' needs throughout their experience and communicate needs proactively to ensure they receive high-quality service.
- Protect the establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
- Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Respond urgently and appropriately to guests' and coworkers' needs.
- Exhibit a professional appearance and mannerisms.
- Ensure guests are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems.
- Protect the establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.
- Conclude the guest experience by acknowledging their choice of establishment and inviting them to return.
- Complete assigned sidework at the beginning, during, and at the end of the shift.
- A desire to help out where needed and work as part of a team.
- A passion for providing extraordinary service.
- Must be upbeat, outgoing, and positive.
- Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time.
- Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe.
- Must be able to carry trays or supplies (up to 25 lbs.).
- Food Handler Certification.
