Job Title: Junior Contract Research Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Contract Research Associate to join our team at Grove Technical Resources, INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting experiments under the direction of a Scientist I for in vitro studies and assay development to advance our portfolio of genetic therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans and conducts experiments at the direction of scientists, performs routine laboratory functions using a variety of assay formats.
  • Contributes to a safe, efficient and effective laboratory environment with personal accountability.
  • Participates in evaluation and implementation of new technologies to improve quality and robustness of sample analysis.
  • Maintains compliant laboratory records, authors technical documents, protocols and reports.

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in a scientific discipline with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Demonstrated mastery of basic laboratory methods working with attention to detail and high standards for data integrity and quality.
  • Proven experience with a variety of analytical techniques, methods of development and validation.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of RNA biology and gene expression analysis.
  • Experience with DNA/RNA purification, PCR, immunofluorescence (IF) staining and imaging, and Western blot.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
