FORKLIFT OPERATORS for our 1st Shift
to support our expanding warehouse operations.
Schedule:
1st Shift: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
Compensation: $12.00 per hour
Note: Overtime may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload delivery vehicles and organize products in designated storage areas.
- Load outgoing trucks with merchandise destined for retail locations.
- Prepare pallets for loading operations.
- Transport goods to and from processing zones.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure forklift pathways are clear of obstructions and identify potential safety risks.
- Sort and manage inventory in transfer trailers.
- Move products to open-top containers as required.
- Interpret inventory documents, load sheets, and pallet tickets to ascertain the type and quantity of goods to be handled.
- Collaborate with department supervisors and management to coordinate merchandise movement.
- Complete daily equipment safety inspections to verify operational readiness.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Uphold a safe and tidy workspace by organizing shelves, pallet areas, and workstations; routinely clean and maintain the work area.
- Utilize appropriate safety gear at all times.
- Comply with all safety regulations as outlined in the CCM Certification Safety Exam.
- Pass the CCM forklift certification assessment.
- Operate inventory scanning devices effectively.
- Read and interpret load sheets accurately.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in all operations.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Capability to stand or sit for extended periods (entire shift) and handle merchandise.
Ability to frequently bend, twist, squat, kneel, and maintain balance.
Successful completion of a drug screening and background check is required.
Working Conditions:
Regularly work in proximity to moving mechanical equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions.
Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
Compensation:
$12.00 per hour
