Relief Operator

Position Summary

The Relief Operator is a key role within the production plant, responsible for maintaining feed flow through the plant. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and a commitment to ensuring efficient plant operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct sieve testing and sampling to ensure quality control
• Operate the clay shed and wheel loader safely and efficiently
• Fill out shift reports to track plant performance
• Maintain preset production goals and troubleshoot processing equipment as needed
• Safely operate conveyors, elevators, screens, and grinders
• Ability to climb ladders up to 20ft. in height
• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform additional duties as required to support plant operations

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to obtain forklift certification (training provided)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and dependability
• Ability to be at work on time and as scheduled
• Ability and willingness to learn

Work Environment:

This position works in a manufacturing environment, which may involve working in heat or cold (weather) and near airborne particles. The noise level is typically loud and dusty.
