About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Member Service Representative to join our team at CoVantage Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, ensuring their financial needs are met, and promoting our credit union's products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Support: Assist members with opening new accounts, processing transactions, applying for loans, and providing information on various financial products and services.
  • Professional Service: Demonstrate efficiency and professionalism to members by providing warm, welcoming, and personalized service to every member who visits or contacts the credit union.
  • Product Knowledge: Provide members with information regarding credit union products and services and refer them to the appropriate person or department if unable to provide the information requested.
  • Financial Education: Understand and assess members' financial needs to educate them on and offer suitable products and services that align with their goals.
  • Community Involvement: Participate in community events and outreach programs to promote financial literacy and cultivate strong ties with local residents and organizations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year's experience working in a financial institution or service or sales-related capacity or Associate's Degree.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in direct, professional contact with a wide variety of people on a daily basis.
  • Performance: Exhibits above-average performance accuracy, productivity, and member service.
  • Appearance and Etiquette: Is punctual and maintains a neat, professional appearance and demonstrates proper business telephone etiquette.
  • Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office and Windows programs.
  • Knowledge of Credit Union Services: Detailed knowledge of the credit union and its services.
  • Language: Bilingual fluency preferred, but not required.
