Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have managerial and extruder experience, with a strong focus on quality product production in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure production extruder operators and production material mixers adhere to company policies and procedures to guarantee quality products.
  • Apply knowledge of proper equipment setup, start-up, breakdown, and close-out to prevent equipment failure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve quality and mechanical issues.
  • Utilize control plans to guide materials testing and be familiar with lab testing and injection molding equipment.
  • Implement company policies to promote a safe and productive environment through effective teamwork and project involvement.
  • Work closely with production extruder operators to minimize scrap yields and increase overall efficiencies.
  • Verify accuracy of production paperwork to ensure shift metrics are correctly reported and workorders are filled out with pertinent information.
  • Evaluate and document employee performance to ensure employees meet overall performance expectations and company standards.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining an effective organization through employee selection, training, motivation, termination, and review.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control Technicians to correct problems with non-conforming materials during the production process.
  • Communicate with warehouse personnel regarding raw materials and finished goods locations and usage.
  • Report to plant/operations management about necessary changes to ensure shift success and document incidents or maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and 5S in all production areas.
  • Ensure proper communication with personnel within oncoming shifts.
  • Able to carry out duties of Production Extruder Operators and Production Materials Mixer.
