Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team at Palomar Health Medical Group. As the face of our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients, answering any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner and that the waiting area is clean and organized.
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments, deductibles, and co-insurance.
  • Prepare and file patient forms, ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Monitor and manage patient portal messages, ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate information.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the office.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a medical practice setting.
  • Working knowledge of contracted insurances, patient benefits, and third-party requirements preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
