About the Role

PDS Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Modeling Company Culture: Demonstrate a strong understanding of our company values and standards, and consistently exhibit behavior that reflects our We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Patient Experience: Support the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) process by helping to get patients to come into the office and ensuring they are comfortable during their visit.
  • Scheduling: Schedule appointments that result in each healthcare provider having a smooth, productive day.
  • Communication: Interact and communicate with patients and guests in the reception area during their wait time, and answer telephones in a timely manner.
  • Administrative Tasks: Ensure that all tasks on the front office checklist are completed daily, and post payments to patient accounts in accordance with Company policies.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Be a subject matter expert in our practice management system, with regards to patient registration, e-check in, and ensuring account information is accurate and up to date for each visit.
  • Check-in Process: Be efficient in patient check in, obtaining all necessary consents, and promptly notifying back office of each patient's arrival and presenting any pertinent patient information to the back-office team.
  • Appointment Confirmation: Confirm all patient appointments in accordance with the office confirmation policies or a minimum of 2 days in advance.
  • Patient Messages: Ensure all patient messages received from the Contact Center are returned and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Team Participation: Active participant in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and any other meetings as required.
  • Business Acumen: Thorough understanding of business imperatives and how the role directly impacts metrics.
  • Brand Stewardship: Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand, making decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework.
  • Patient Education: Become knowledgeable and support clinicians on patient education regarding the Mouth-Body Connection.
  • Professionalism: Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies, and address others professionally and respectfully.
  • Compliance: Ensure Compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal, and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education or Training: Prior course work or on-the-job training in the fields of dentistry, insurance, or business.

  • Office Practices: Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances.
