Position Overview

We are in search of skilled and professional CDL B operators who are committed to our mission of supporting our communities and the environment. You will be tasked with traveling along your designated route, responsible for the safe collection, transportation, and proper disposal of waste materials in alignment with our eco-friendly policies and procedures. This role may require up to 8 overnight trips monthly (with covered hotel expenses and a nightly per diem).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely collect and transport waste in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure proper labeling of containers and complete necessary manifests/work orders.
  • Prepare and process Universal Hazardous Waste manifests, bills of lading, and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) for hazardous waste shipments in accordance with state, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers at various levels while delivering, promoting, and collecting waste containers.
  • Operate hand trucks, forklifts, and other heavy machinery as required.
Qualifications:

To be eligible, candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age as per legal requirements.

Candidates should have at least two of the following endorsements: Air brakes, Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements. The third endorsement can be obtained at the company's expense as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

A TWIC Card and experience operating box trucks are advantageous. Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is essential due to customer interactions.

A strong understanding of Environmental/Regulatory/DOT rules and regulations is preferred. Some college education or experience in the waste management industry is beneficial.

Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required.

Candidates must maintain a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).

The selected candidate will be required to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and DEA background check.
