We are in search of skilled, professional Class B drivers who will embody our commitment to our employees, partners, and the environment. You will be tasked with traveling to designated locations on your assigned route, responsible for the safe packing, transportation, and disposal of waste materials in alignment with our environmentally conscious policies and procedures. This role may require 2-3 overnight trips monthly (with covered hotel expenses and a nightly per diem).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely pick up and transport waste in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure proper labeling of containers and complete necessary manifests/work orders. Schedule shipments for on-site or off-site processing.
  • Prepare and manage Universal Hazardous Waste manifests, bills of lading, and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) for hazardous waste shipments in accordance with state, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with various levels of customers daily regarding the delivery, promotion, and collection of waste containers. Regular interaction with diverse personnel is expected.
  • Operate hand trucks, forklifts, or other heavy machinery as required.

Qualifications:

To be eligible, candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

Candidates should have at least two of the following endorsements: Air brakes, Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements. The third endorsement can be obtained at the company's expense as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Possession of a TWIC Card and experience driving box trucks is preferred.

Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is essential due to customer and internal staff interactions.

A strong understanding of Environmental/Regulatory/DOT rules and regulations is necessary.

Some college education or experience in the waste management industry is advantageous.

Familiarity with computer software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required.

Maintaining a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background checks.
