Desktop Support Technician Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team in the San Antonio, TX area. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for installing and re-imaging desktops and laptops, both Apple and Dell products. You will also respond to Tier II support requests via email, phone, Teams, and other communication channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and re-image desktops and laptops, including Apple and Dell products
  • Respond to Tier II support requests via email, phone, Teams, and other communication channels
  • Support an ongoing PC refreshment project, including configuration changes, updates, and upgrades
  • Monitor and perform hardware and software upgrades and fixes
  • Follow a customer script to provide top-notch support and customer service
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a desktop technician, client technician, or similar role
  • Experience installing and re-imaging desktops and laptops
  • Prior experience performing a PC refreshment project, including configuration changes, updates, and upgrades
  • Understanding of Windows 10
  • Experience with the O365 suite, including OneDrive, Teams, and Office Pro Plus
  • Knowledge of both Dell and Apple hardware, including desktops and laptops
