Job Title: Grant Writer

The Grant Writer is a key member of the GMHC team, responsible for researching, writing, and submitting proposals to secure funding for the organization's programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities to match GMHC's priorities
  • Develop and write high-quality proposals, narratives, and supporting documents
  • Maintain a master calendar of grants, contracts, and deadlines
  • Work with GMHC personnel to research, develop, and submit grant proposals
  • Serve as a liaison to funding agencies and organizations
  • Provide regular status updates on proposals to the AVP, Operations Administration
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of grant-writing experience required
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of securing funding in areas such as housing, mental health, and HIV/AIDS testing and prevention
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM software
What We Offer:

GMHC offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $115,000, depending on experience.
