Key Responsibilities- Assist in the implementation of the Superintendent's goals and objectives for the Health Bureau, ensuring alignment with the Department's overall mission and vision.
- Provide expert advice on issues related to the health insurance industry and regulatory process, including licensing, certification, and fiscal solvency of health insurance companies and related entities.
- Oversee and manage the daily activities and operations of the Health Bureau, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of services to stakeholders.
- Make recommendations on policy and regulatory matters, taking into account the short- and long-term impact on the health insurance industry and the public.
- Preside at or participate in meetings and conferences with health insurers, industry organizations, consumer groups, and other stakeholders to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Act as a liaison between the Health Bureau and other departments and agencies within the Department, ensuring seamless coordination and cooperation.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote best practices in healthcare regulation.
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as healthcare administration, public health, or business administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in healthcare regulation, policy development, or a related field.
- Proven track record of leadership and management experience, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
