Job Summary

The University of Kansas Health System seeks a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to Medical Director to provide exceptional administrative support to our Medical Director. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of professionalism, flexibility, and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Medical Director, including conducting research, preparing statistical reports, and handling information requests.
  • Coordinate gathering of information and preparation of materials necessary for various appointments, meetings, and trips.
  • Take minutes at meetings upon request and establish and maintain confidential files in an appropriate format.
  • Establish priorities based upon own initiative and discretion, and make travel arrangements for department staff as requested.
  • Order departmental supplies and maintain supply cabinets, and order food and/or refreshments for meetings as requested.
  • Oversee the Medical Director's calendar for appointments, reminders, and public/professional events.
  • Provide administrative support to the Medical Director, managers, and staff with projects as requested.
  • Serve as the Medical Director's point of contact for all incoming communications from employees, clients, and associates.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate
  • 3 or more years broad administrative/secretarial experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree or technical/professional training/degree in Business School Training
Knowledge Requirements
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change while maintaining a high level of professionalism, with an emphasis on positive customer relations.
