Center Medical Director

Role Overview:
The Center Medical Director at Oak Street Health is a clinical leadership position responsible for leading the medical team at their center. The role involves practicing primary care in our clinics alongside provider colleagues, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and creating a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support organizational strategy and work collaboratively with the Practice Manager and Outreach Manager/Director to achieve our objectives.
- Drive implementation of Oak Street Health strategic initiatives and follow direction from regional leadership to implement regional priorities.
- Coordinate and lead the onboarding of new providers at the center, model excellent medical care, and ensure consistent and robust OSH care model implementation.
- Understand, teach, and implement Oak Street's clinical guidelines, support each care team to provide high-quality preventative care, and educate providers in the value-based full risk model of care.
- Assess and address root causes when center metric goals are not reached, create and maintain a culture of coaching up and growth of providers and care teams, and acknowledge and celebrate successes of care team members.
Requirements:
- M.D., D.O., or A.P.N or P.A. graduates with Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required for M.D. or D.O., Board certification in Family, Adult, or Gerontology for A.P.N.
- Experience in clinical leadership roles, leading and coaching providers to be the best they can be for their patients and colleagues.
