Biomedical Equipment Technician I

The Biomedical Equipment Technician I plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment. Working closely with experienced technicians, this individual will ensure the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan and the Biomedical Technology Services Program.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment.
- Maintain clinical equipment according to established protocols.
- Conduct repairs according to procedures and maintain inventory and par levels of all instruments and supplies.
- Follow OSHA and TJC guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Valid Virginia driver's license and acceptable driving record with positive points on DMV record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment and/or medical equipment.
- Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics or related field (preferred).
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and interact with customers frequently. The individual must be able to adapt to frequent change and work in a team environment.
