Job Title: Biomedical Engineering Laboratory Technician

Join the Virginia Commonwealth University College of Engineering as a Biomedical Engineering Laboratory Technician. This role will support the research goals of the Institute for Engineering and Medicine (IEM) by performing various laboratory tasks, including experiments, data analysis, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform general laboratory tasks, such as preparing samples, conducting experiments, and maintaining equipment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of research protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct data analysis and present results to research team members.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities and experiments.
  • Collaborate with research team members to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Physical Sciences, Biosciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment and techniques, including cell culture and real-time PCR.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a Physical Sciences, Biosciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a research laboratory setting.
