About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented individual to join our team as an Account Representative at Mariner Finance. As a key member of our sales and collections team, you will play a critical role in supporting our branch operations and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by proactively solving problems, presenting loan solutions based on customer needs, and enthusiastically presenting all available sales products.
  • Loan Processing: Process credit loan applications, analyze credit and financial information for current and potential customers, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local consumer laws.
  • Delinquency Resolution: Proactively contact customers with past due balances to offer possible solutions and resolve delinquency.
  • Goal Achievement: Achieve consistent results by meeting or exceeding expected individual and branch goals related to the sale of company products and services.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state, and local consumer laws to ensure compliant actions and minimize risk.
  • Cash Handling and Deposits: Maintain a cash drawer, process payments, and deliver daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service or sales position.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar programs with the ability to learn financial services programs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must obtain applicable, required licenses to sell insurance products offered to customers by the branch.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cash Handling Experience: Cash handling, selling, and/or collecting experience.
  • Education: Some college coursework.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English.
Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, operate computer and phone systems, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about and must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
