Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Director for Long Term Care to join our team at Family Care Pharmacy. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on pharmacy operations and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

  • Requires experience in long term care (skilled, nursing and assisted living)
  • Must have strong communication skills to cultivate relationships with facility staff
  • The ideal candidate will possess up-to-date clinical knowledge on current long term care literature
  • Working knowledge of rules and regulations associated with pharmacy, nursing, and long term care facilities is essential
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Able to navigate/interpret primary, secondary, and tertiary literature
  • Proficient in learning new software systems, including QS1 and RxPertise
  • On call responsibilities one weekend per month
  • Hospital experience preferred
