Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the admission process of new residents, ensuring accurate and timely completion of new admission orders, and providing orientation to new residents.

You will supervise nursing staff, including the orientation of new staff members, ensuring that quality care, resident life, and staff satisfaction meet the highest standards. In the absence of senior management, you will assume responsibility for resident safety and welfare.

Your role will involve helping Charge Nurses with physician visits, decision-making, directing CNA work assignments, treatments, monthly summaries, admissions/discharges, and order transcription. You will also maintain open communication with residents, families, volunteers, staff, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise nursing staff and ensure high-quality care
  • Orient new staff members and ensure smooth handovers
  • Assume responsibility for resident safety and welfare in senior management's absence
  • Help Charge Nurses with various tasks and duties
  • Maintain open communication with all stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a RN diploma or degree
  • Three years of progressive nursing management experience in long term care settings
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Possession of knowledge of state and local regulations regarding long term care
  • Able to work variable and flexible schedules
