Job Summary

We are seeking a Correctional Officer to provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates/residents in a correctional facility. As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining order and security, and may be required to employ weapons or force to maintain discipline and order.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain order and security of inmates in a correctional facility
  • Provide direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, at meals, during recreation, on work assignments, and during all other phases of activity
  • Employ weapons or force to maintain discipline and order, as necessary
  • Work any shift, as assigned, including armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to complete any required training
  • Availability to work any hours, any shift
  • At least 18 years of age
