Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist at L3Harris, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong quality background to drive quality into our product and work in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Interact with various groups to coordinate daily QMS requirements
Effectively communicate issue descriptions, improvement progress, and latest status to management
Support Floor Production build and test of electrical and mechanical hardware
Collect and analyze test/defect data and identify root causes
Collaborate across multiple disciplines to find root cause for systemic failures and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Production Quality Assurance or High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of experience in Production Quality Assurance.
Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel/Outlook/Word/PowerPoint, etc.)
Knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience using various measuring tools (i.e. calipers, multimeters, thread gauges, profilometers, etc.)
Familiarity with the MRB Process and working in a Manufacturing environment.
Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment while maintaining professional Quality separation
Knowledge of RCCA processes and methodology
Demonstrated experience working in an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment
Preferred Additional Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
Experience in the Space and Defense Industry is preferred
ASQ certification (CQT, CQI, CQE, CMQ/OE) or demonstrated application of these principles on programs.
Experience working with IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 a plus
Able to obtain a DoD security clearance
Experience working with the QMS functions within SAP
Experience using Coordinated Measuring Machines (CMM) a plus
