Structural Design Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a Steel Truss Bridge Design Engineer to join our team at Contech Engineered Solutions.
In this role, you will primarily work in a structural engineering design capacity, providing technical support to various internal and external customers.
This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with in-house engineers, external consultants, and in-house fabrication personnel while developing engineering solutions for short to medium span pedestrian and vehicular bridge projects for national clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customized project-specific design services, with a focus on Contech's bridge products.
- Perform structural analysis and design of bridge elements, including superstructures, foundations, and retaining walls.
- Work effectively with in-house engineers, CAD Techs, Sales/Marketing Team members, and outside engineers to specify and design Contech's products.
- Offer technical support to the Operations/Manufacturing Team to ensure proper fabrication of products.
- Coordinate with field sales staff and the manufacturing team to address questions and concerns regarding product design, manufacturing, and installation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; strong preference for Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis.
- EIT required; PE or eligibility to take the PE exam within one year of hire is strongly preferred.
- 3-6 years of experience in structural steel or bridge design preferred, early career engineers will be considered.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel required.
