Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for various types of facilities, including healthcare, industrial, commercial offices, higher education, research laboratories, and similar applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer mechanical HVAC systems for projects.
  • Work with a team of design colleagues to conceptualize and develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of mechanical systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
  • Author a discipline-specific Basis of Design and develop project job-specific discipline specifications independently.
  • Communicate effectively with architects and other building engineers to integrate design elements.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and client contact to establish design criteria and review design progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the buildings design industry.
  • Preferred candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer or is currently working toward professional licensure.
  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.
