Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Contigo Talent LLC.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and engineering automated machines and systems for manufacturing customer parts from polyurethane. This will involve creating detailed shop drawings, procuring vendor quotes, and writing material ordering instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer automated machines and systems for manufacturing customer parts from polyurethane.
  • Conduct shop and/or field tests to verify system meets project or design tolerances or specifications.
  • Successfully complete project schedule deadlines, objectives, and requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule project tasks with Production, Project Managers, outside vendors, and Electrical Engineers.
  • Contribute to project success by completing assigned tasks on time and completely.
  • Review and verify that designed items are within budget and completed on schedule.
  • Conduct reviews at various stages of project completion to identify design details, components, procedure and methods that can be improved.
  • Some travel required, including periodic travel for training and out of the U.S.
  • Ensure compliance with plant health and safety regulations.
  • Accept a level of responsibility and accountability proportionate to the experience level.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline and three to five years related engineering experience and/or training.
  • Working knowledge of fluid flows, heat transfer, mechanics, strength of materials, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience with SolidWorks 3D and/or other 3D Computer Aided Design software, AutoCAD 2D software, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a project team.
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. The employee is also exposed to a variety of conditions that are encountered in production environments (in-house and at customer sites).

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, ability to work within an industrial plant is required.

Travel

This position may require brief overnight travel.
