Job Title: Community Outreach Manager

Join the Women's Business Development Council (WBDC) as a Community Outreach Manager and play a key role in promoting economic prosperity for women and strengthening communities through entrepreneurial and financial education services.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a statewide leader in entrepreneurial education for women, supporting economic growth and job creation across Connecticut. As a Community Outreach Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational and community relations activities, building relationships with community organizations, and representing WBDC on state and national coalitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programs and events to promote women's entrepreneurship and economic development
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, elected officials, and other stakeholders to advance WBDC's mission
  • Represent WBDC on state and national coalitions, advocating for policy issues that impact women's entrepreneurship and economic development
  • Develop and distribute tools to educate policymakers and the public on complex policy issues affecting women's entrepreneurship and economic development
  • Collaborate with internal teams to devise and implement communications strategies to nurture strategic partnerships and coalitions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a related field, including public policy, government relations, or community outreach
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with ability to read, analyze, and summarize legislation and policy reports
  • Excellent writing, organization, and presentation skills
  • Considerable project and time management skills, including a high level of organization and attention to detail
