Position Overview
This role is designated for a Military Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, focusing on the maintenance and repair of military aircraft within the Army National Guard Units.

Key Responsibilities
The position entails working at an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) or an Army Aviation Flight Activity (AAFA). The primary duties include:

  • Conducting comprehensive maintenance tasks on various military aircraft, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Performing ground testing of systems, assemblies, and surfaces for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
  • Utilizing in-depth knowledge of airframe mechanics, pneudraulic systems, and electrical systems to ensure optimal aircraft performance.

Work Environment
The role requires a strong understanding of aircraft systems and their interrelationships. Candidates may need to demonstrate proficiency in electronics as part of their maintenance duties.

Qualifications
This position is open to qualified individuals within the Army National Guard. Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Possess experience or training in aircraft part removal, replacement, and adjustments.
  • Demonstrate skill in using hand tools and testing equipment effectively.

Specialized Skills
Applicants should have experience in:

  • Installing, adjusting, and troubleshooting mechanical and pneudraulic systems during aircraft overhaul or modification.
  • Coordinating maintenance activities and guiding other mechanics to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Instructing personnel in the disassembly and reassembly of aircraft components, particularly in cases of damage.
