About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Lockheed Martin team as a Depot Flight Line Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of F-16 aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and modify aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and standards.
  • Be knowledgeable in aircraft systems operation and maintenance, including landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, rigging, and aircraft movement.
  • Comprehend and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft.
  • Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive movements and work overhead.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.
  • Properly use, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
  • 3-8 years of related aircraft production, overhaul, or modification experience on various aircraft systems such as landing gear, flight controls, disassembly, re-assembly, rigging, or aircraft ground operations.
  • Experience with aircraft repair, modification, or trouble shooting.
  • Experience with aircraft ground handling and test equipment.
  • Verifiable flight line experience is required.
Desired Skills
  • Military aircraft experience (F-16 preferred).
  • Aircraft Mechanic / Aircraft craftsman A&P Lic.
  • A strong understanding of the maintenance process and proper documentation.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and navigate tech data and engineering instructions.
  • Hydrazine response team experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Previous engine run experience.
