Regional Account Manager

Job Summary
Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Regional Account Manager to develop and execute customer strategies that drive revenue growth, distribution expansion, and market share increase. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail account management and CPG sales, with a strong ability to build relationships, conduct business, and enhance the company's reputation with customers and key decision makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage customer relationships within assigned retailers, buyers, and key decision makers to achieve local business objectives.
- Partner with BU/Brand Teams and Marketing to understand trends and consumer preferences and direct account strategy to maximize potential.
- Work with the VP of Regional Accounts and Brand Teams to develop a sales plan that delivers Flowers sales and margin objectives within the Trade Promotion Management and accrual funding structure.
- Partner internally with various departments to ensure excellent distributions by Flowers' various distribution departments.
- Achieve/exceed all established key sales measures and targets.
- Contribute to the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Ensure open and effective lines of communication and collaboration with the VP of Sales, supporting Regional Operations team, BU/Brand Teams, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other functions to achieve enterprise goals.
- Foster an environment that engages and educates the regional team with responsibility and the tools to achieve goals at region and building level.
- Lead, coach, and support retail team. Build, develop, a high-performing sales leadership at region level and build regional culture to ensure high-performance results.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Sarbanes-Oxley, Safety, etc.).
- Perform other duties deemed integral to the position, including fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to travel as needed both via air and motor vehicle.
Requirements
- 4 years' experience working in Retail Account Management and CPG sales. Past success in teamwork and guiding sales.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent management experience required.
