Position Overview

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for designing and executing solutions that integrate data from multiple sources into cloud-based platforms. This role emphasizes the importance of maintaining data integrity, precision, and availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of Business Intelligence reporting initiatives. Design, develop, and implement sophisticated BI solutions.
  • Create Business Intelligence dashboards and operational decision-making reports.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources into cloud-based BI reporting systems.
  • Utilize prior experiences to recommend Enterprise BI standards and best practices.
  • Develop adaptors and APIs to connect with various data sources.
  • Design, construct, and deploy BI solutions; assess and enhance existing BI reports and dashboards.
  • Build and test new or updated data flows, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Assist Data Analysts and Business Stakeholders in identifying and resolving data-related issues as necessary.
  • Guarantee data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility.
  • Diagnose and rectify data integration challenges.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to outline data integration specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in data integration and ETL methodologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data schema modeling (Dimensions, Measures, Slowly Changing Dimensions).
  • Over 8 years of hands-on experience as a Business Intelligence developer.
  • At least 5 years of experience with reporting platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in data wrangling using R or Python for data processing.
  • Proficiency in data integration tools like Informatica, Data Stage, Talend, or Microsoft SSIS.
  • Experience with Cloud Data Platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, or Cloudera.
  • Expertise in data modeling principles (e.g., keys, logical structures, subject areas, referential integrity).
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision, high pressure, and tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related discipline.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the capability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $105,600 and $132,000. This range is not a guarantee of compensation; actual salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and potential contractual obligations.
