Job Overview

COMPANY BACKGROUND: Sampled empowers clients to enhance human health by utilizing active biological samples through preservation, immortalization, and application in extensive multiomics research within a state-of-the-art Global Integrated Analytical Biorepository. To facilitate the ongoing growth of our organization and the expansion of our client-oriented Scientific Solutions Team, we are seeking a Scientific Solutions Manager. This role is ideal for a commercially astute scientist experienced in collaborating with Sales teams to develop client solutions and finalize business agreements.


ROLE SUMMARY:
The Scientific Solutions Manager will create and deliver tailored technical and business solutions to scientists requiring analysis and storage of preclinical and clinical samples, working closely with both colleagues and clients.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with clients to discern scientific project objectives and business requirements, providing feasible, comprehensive, and innovative solutions to facilitate their analysis, cellular services, and sample storage initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sampled colleagues, including account managers, project managers, product managers, marketing, and other experts to:
    • Enhance our business with current clients.
    • Comprehend the market and formulate strategic and tactical plans to engage new clients.
  • Communicate Sampled's industry-leading capabilities effectively.
  • Utilize Sampled's extensive resources to deliver solutions that ensure mutual success for both the client and Sampled.
  • Foster collaborative and consultative relationships with lead scientists, directors, and other key decision-makers.
  • Contribute to the development of new services and process improvements by working closely with product management, project management, marketing, and operations.
  • Act as a champion for the Sampled values.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasional travel to meet with key accounts (approximately 20%).


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related field is preferred, with a minimum of 4 years of post-PhD experience. Candidates with a Master's degree in a similar discipline and significant relevant experience, including hands-on laboratory work, will also be considered.
  • Extensive knowledge of the design principles and application of multiomic technology, as well as iPSC generation and gene editing, is essential.
  • Must possess commercial experience within the industry.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, both internal and external.
  • A commitment to teamwork and the ability to lead a team when necessary is crucial.
  • Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. Proficiency in planning, organization, and time management, including the capacity to support and prioritize multiple projects at various stages of development.
  • Experience as a project or program leader (or equivalent) in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic or scientific disciplines such as immunology, oncology, infectious disease, inflammation, and neurodegeneration, along with knowledge of the assays used in drug discovery research in these areas, is preferred.
  • Experience in managing scientific projects is a plus.
  • Demonstrated initiative in advancing projects is essential.
