University Associate, Data Privacy Specialist

Job Summary:

Ankura Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented University Associate to support the Data & Technology Business Group. This role will involve working closely with team members, subject matter experts, and client contacts to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day activities of engagements, including interaction with team members, subject matter experts, and client contacts.
  • Generate consistent and thorough documentation to support processes executed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage time and tasks to meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Provide input into client communications, both written and oral, throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Develop, review, and edit information security policies and procedures.
  • Supervise appropriate personnel, including less experienced consultants, client personnel, and clerical support.
  • Perform and support risk, cyber, privacy, and technical network assessments.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Analytics, Management, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management, or similar areas.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and motivation to succeed.
  • Ability to deliver solution strategies and implementations to clients.
  • Strong risk management and project management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including detailed note taking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of how to leverage existing security applications and appliances to address client-specific requirements.
  • Prior experience working in the Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Compliance space.
  • Functional understanding of Network Architecture, Design, and Security Best Practices.
  • Knowledge of various data privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
