Head of Americas Data Privacy and Protection Office Vice President

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Americas Data Privacy and Protection Office as a Vice President. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our data privacy and protection program, providing advice and guidance to business units and corporate functions, and managing the Americas DPPO team and ongoing data privacy and protection compliance activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Americas Privacy program.
  • Provide advice and guidance to business units and corporate functions on Privacy program risks.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Americas laws and regulations relating to data privacy and protection, and implement appropriate changes to existing policies, standards, and compliance programs based on legal and regulatory developments.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, standards, procedures, assessment processes, and response plans.
  • Manage the Americas DPPO team and ongoing data privacy and protection compliance activities.
  • Lead Privacy Impact Assessments, data subject access response, and the review of new products, services, and technology initiatives.
  • Manage the Privacy Incident Response Team responsible for responding to privacy incidents in the Americas region.
  • Work with Compliance stakeholders to develop and implement Privacy risk assessment and testing programs.
  • Lead the ongoing monitoring of Privacy risks.
  • Develop and review privacy training program content.
  • Interact with Legal and Compliance stakeholders, and other liaisons.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree and CIPP certification preferred.
  • 7+ years' experience supporting a data privacy program, including leadership experience. Experience working in financial services preferred.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise summaries and reports.
  • Knowledge of U.S, Canada, and Latin America privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and extremely organized to effectively manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and to adapt to unexpected changes.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong sense of ownership to drive tasks to completion and to identify opportunities for improvement.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $126k-$164k, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
